Terms & Conditions

General

  • Hours of Code (HoC) included here have no expiry and non-transferable nor non-resalable after purchase.
  • KidoCode shall not be liable for either death or personal injury suffered by any student except as may arise through the negligence of KidoCode. Parents and the student agree to notify KidoCode of special dietary needs, allergies or other medical conditions where special arrangements have to be made. Parents and students also agree that KidoCode may administer any non-prescription medication or first aid as is deemed appropriate and to seek medical, dental or optical treatment when required.
  • By enrolling with KidoCode, the student, the parents, guardians, or carers for the student, consent to the reasonable use of the student's details and academic achievements, including photographs, video, and electronic images of students and visitors taken on KidoCode premises, class, and events for database, marketing, and promotional purposes.

Kbox Package Adjustment Policy

  • Parents who have availed of the KBox Packages may opt to adjust their KBox Package by downgrading to the lower package next to the original package availed.
  • Downgrading a package can only be done once and is only available for KBox1000 and KBox500.

    A representative from the Sales & Marketing team will get in touch with the parent to discuss the reasons and concerns for the adjustment to improve our services. The price difference will be transferred back to the parents’ bank account upon confirmation of package adjustment.
  • When downgrading, the amount that will be rebated back to the parents will be depending on the price of the lower package after discounts available during the trial class day.
  • Upon downgrading, the Today Registration Bonus extra classes (YouTube Engineering/KMath) classes included in the original package availed by the parents, will also be downgraded to the corresponding number of extra classes available on their downgraded package of choice.

  • KidoCode Account adjustment will be processed within seven (7) working days from the day of confirmation.
  • Price difference will be transferred via online transfer to parent’s preferred Malaysian bank.

Terminations Policy

  • Full Refund
    • KidoCode does NOT provide any full refunds for any of the packages provided regardless the Hours of Code (HoC) have been used or not. For any Student Training Concerns, refer to the T & C in your receipt.
  • Withdrawal
    • Parents may request to withdraw from the class for whatever reason. Withdrawal notice must be made in writing to the Customer Success Department via email to hello@kidocode.com. The portion of the course fee to be refunded is 30% of the remaining unused hours for any of the packages and will be prorated based on the price per hour indicated in the invoice.
    • The transfer will be processed within seven (7) working days from the withdrawal confirmation to your chosen Malaysian bank account.
  • Example:

    Used Hours: 10 Hours
    Unused Hours: 90 Hours
    Withdrawal Refund Calculation:

    90 hours (Remaining) * 30% = 27 Hours
    27 hours * RM63.50 = RM1,714.50 (Course Refund Fee)

  • Account Transfer:
    • At any time parents are eligible to transfer the remaining hours to other students which
      1. are not a current KidoCode student
      2. has not been in any of KidoCode trial sessions, and
      3. has not been invited to KidoCode trial sessions
      The remaining hours will be converted to cash voucher based on the price per hour indicated in the invoice, and 10% of the amount will be deducted as transfer fee.
    • Parents will receive a code for the generated voucher that may share it with their friends or new students.
    • New student is required to participate in one of the KidoCode trial sessions and can apply the voucher code upon registration. The voucher can be used upon new registration(s) and the balance (if any) can be reused for other transactions. The previous owner of the account is not entitled or eligible to the account after the generation of the voucher.
  • Customer Success Team may require the parents to attend a meeting before confirming the termination to discuss the reasons and give solutions to parents.
  • Upon confirmation of the termination after the meeting with our Customer Success Team, parents may send their banking details to process the refund. Refund will be processed within seven (7) working days and will be transferred to the parent’s chosen Malaysian bank. Notification via email and SMS using the details provided by the parent will be sent once the transaction is successful. Parents must return all items of the KBox that have been given before the Termination Process can initiate.

Rebate Policy

KidoCode provides rebate options for parents on each package they availed if any of the following scenarios apply:
  • Following the KBox Package Adjustment Policy wherein a student with a package of KBox1000 have decided to downgrade to KBox500 upon reaching the Downgrade Point of 500 hours. This also applies for a student with a package of KBox500 and decided to downgrade to KBox200 upon reaching the Downgrade Point of 200 hours.

KBox Collection

KBox is the laboratory of each and every KidoCode Student to learn more coding and mathematics. Each and every item in the KBox is a gift from KidoCode and will be used so they can explore and do more mistakes with less cost from the parents. We pay for your kid/s’ mistakes by exchanging any broken items in the KBox.

  • Terms & Conditions
    • Students who have registered under the KBox Starter Packages or purchased the KBox separately may collect their KBox, Electronic Kit, and Arduino within their first 10 hours.
    • Mobile phone will be unlocked and given to the students who have finished their first mobile activity, first Code & Math activity, and first Electronics Activity and they can use it to build more mobile apps in the future. Upon finishing these activities, they may request for their phone from our KHello Team and our team will inform them when can they collect it.
    • Upon finishing all the Code & Math activities, we will celebrate their success with them and give them their Raspberry Pi. BONUS: We give them additional 5 Hours of Code. More hours, more learning!
    • Since the students are encouraged to make as many mistakes as they can and learn from them, some students might have broken items from usage or might need additional items (ex. LEDs, wires, etc.) so we take the cost of their mistakes and we replace it for them free of charge!
      • Students should bring the defective or broken items and pass to our Customer Success team. The team shall do the necessary checking and fixing of the item. Should the team confirmed that replacement is deemed needed, we will proceed with the replacement upon checking of the warranty and getting the replacement from our supplier
      • Physical damage or loss, including, but not limited to, electronics items and Arduino, mobile phone, and raspberry pi, cannot be considered as valid reason to request for replacement.

  • Note: The KBox is a gift we give as their reward for doing a good job. They will receive the items inside the KBox upon completing certain levels. There will be cases that we change the brand of some items and we make sure that the features will be similar regardless of the brand.
    You may communicate with our Customer Success Department about anything regarding the KBox.

Credit Card Installment Payment

  • Parents who are interested to register their kids for any of the KBox Starter Packages may opt to pay using credit card installment through KidoCode’s credit card installment scheme
  • Parents are allowed to pay either any one of the durations, i.e. 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, or 36 months installment depending on their bank’s tenure availability.
  • KidoCode, on a goodwill basis, will waive up to the extent of 10% only on the credit card’s interest rates imposed by the Parent’s credit card merchant of their choice so as to ease the burden of paying the full package sum.
  • KidoCode will not be responsible or deem to agree to the interest imposed by the parents credit card merchant of their choice and all information pertaining to the interest based on the tenure chosen by the parent is binding at all material time on the parent absolutely before paying the same to KidoCode.
  • Once parents finalises the interest rate imposed by the credit card merchant of their choice, then KidoCode would do the necessary in deducting up to 10% from the original package sum as a gesture of goodwill to ease the financial burden of the parents concerned.
  • Upon completing the payment transaction via their credit card merchant with KidoCode, parents must call their merchant and inform them of the said payment and also to request for installment on the tenure they would wish to obtain from their merchant before the said payment is effected.

Extra Classes: KMath, YouTube Engineering, 3D Printing & Modeling

Another perks that your kids can enjoy in KidoCode are these classes!

  • These classes are by appointment only and you may arrange these using our online booking service called KScheduler. Please contact our Customer Success team should you face difficulty in scheduling.
  • Per session is maximum one (1) hour and can only be attended once a month only for each class. We do this to make sure your kids will have balanced classes between coding, YouTube Engineering, KMath, and 3D Printing & Modeling every month.
  • The class can only be attended by the student following the KidoID that has prior schedule.

Progress Report

  • As KidoCode’s ethical obligation to parents and students, you may attend our Progress Report meeting which will be attended by our trainers and student analysts. This is by appointment and shall be communicated through our Customer Success Team in this number: +60122020748.
  • KidoCode will also be contacting the parents to invite them for the Progress Report once the student reach on or before 10 hours, 25 hours, 50 hours, and so on to keep the parents aware of what the students are learning and the next activities they can expect to do.

Loss or Damage

  • Personal belongings, including, but not limited to, footwear, jewelry, other electronic gadgets, are the sole responsibility of the parents, guardians, or students at all times. KidoCode is not responsible for any loss or damages to your personal belongings.
